Extruded Acrylic Sheets

Extruded Acrylic is made in a very different way to Cast acrylic, stretched to size between large rollers it has a very hard surface making it slightly more resistant to scuffing or scratching, the main advantage to this manufacture method is that it is cheaper, which is reflective in the price. Extruded acrylic has a lower molecular mass which makes it extremely formable and is therefore suitable for vacuum forming.

Extruded acrylic tends to be used for temporary glazing panels due to its low cost and relatively high impact strength, Extruded acrylic is much stronger than glass and has very high transparency levels whilst being up to 60% lighter than glass.
